In conjunction with Dulux and Proper Job, a small team and i where commissioned to design and paint a mural in the Byram arcade, huddersfield. This would be a piece symbolising a fresh start, aiming to encourage and motivate the proper job participants, as they worked through the program to get themselves back into the working world. With this i came up with this wave design. One that was to symbolise motion and life. Taking from the infamous phrase and connotation ‘water is life’. The piece depicts a large wave rising about to crash. This was something to symbolise the journey to a new start, and as a Chinese proverb says ‘the journey is the reward’.
